Description

Experience familiar controls with Precisa’s user-friendly menu, akin to top smartphones. The frameless glass draft shields provide clear views and allow for quick cleaning. The 390 series offers unmatched ergonomics with the lowest weighing pan level on the market, ensuring user comfort and efficiency. Additionally, to improve efficiency the non-contact IR-sensors allow efficient use, while maintaining accurate results from advanced load cells. Access the built-in user manual anytime, and navigate effortlessly with intuitive colour coding.

  • Touchscreen – Intuitive touchscreen with a 7” anti-reflective, shock-resistant display, blue-marked touch surfaces, convenient “Home” button, operable with lab gloves, UV resistant, and frameless for easy cleaning.
  • Draft Shield – The Draft Shield Protection system has electronically powered side doors for smooth opening and contamination prevention in labs. All components are easily removable for cleaning.
  • Self Calibration System (SCS) – The SCS ensures accurate weighing by automatically or manually adjusting for environmental changes, utilising it’s internal test weights and protecting the device from contaminants.
  • Stability-Indicator – The optical stability indicator visually shows environmental disturbances balance accuracy in real-time, helping users avoid discrepancies.
  • Electronic Levelling – Displays a visual warning if tilted beyond the stored levelling tolerances. Once triggered an electronic virtually guided levelling display activates to instruct users on how to readjust the instrument back to the correct level position.
  • Communication & Interfaces – Standard interfaces (2 USB type A, 1 USB type B, 100M Ethernet, RS232) and optional WiFi and Bluetooth accessories for wireless connectivity.
  • User Management – Personalized user management system settings and access rights based on user profiles.
  • Touchless Sensor (TLS) – Touchless sensors can be set to activate functions with hand motions, adjustable with three detection angles. (TLS can be added to existing balances later as an upgrade to the HE/HA series.)
  • Electrostatic Cancellation System (ECS) – Built-in AC pulse ion neutralizing technology neutralizes electrostatic charges automatically when the draft shield is closed. (This can also be added later as an upgrade to the HE/HA series.)
  • Ambient Observation System (AOS) – Real-time recording of air pressure, humidity, and temperature inside the weighing chamber gives the user full traceability and weighing accuracy with the ‘BEST’ app.

Applications: The series 390 balance can be equipped with various applications, similar to smartphone apps. Users can easily install these applications without needing specialist assistance, avoiding awkward or costly software integrations. Applications include data logging for traceability, calibration management, and specific weighing modes tailored to different materials or processes. This flexibility is a unique offering from Precisa Gravimetrics, making it a outstanding product in it’s class.

The HM is the entry model with mechanical draft shield.
The HF is the fully inclusive model.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please see below for answers to frequently asked questions.

A calibration certificate proves the accuracy of your weighing equipment. It is very likely that if accuracy matters in your workplace, certification will be required by your industry regulators. They are straightforward to get hold of though. Just ask our team.

If you are trading or transacting anything by weight, you will probably need to demonstrate your weighing equipment is verified for trade use. This gives your customers confidence in your business and will make sure buying and selling run smoothly. We can help get you with relevant approvals for your equipment.

The answer will vary depending on how your equipment is used. As a minimum, we typically recommend once a year but our team can provide advice based on your individual circumstances.

The International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) has established standards for the classification of calibration test weights. Varying from E0 & E1, which are the most accurate to M2 which are commonly used for calibrating platform scales, floor scales and other industrial weighing instruments.

As a rough guide we have listed desired accuracy against class below.

+/- 0.1% – UNclassed Proof Load Test Weights
+/- 0.05% – M3 (Check/calibrate coarse scales)
+/- 0.005% – M1 (Check/calibrate standard scales)
+/- 0.0015% – F2 (Check/calibrate portable balances)
+/- 0.0005% – F1 (Check/calibrate precision balances)
+/- 0.00015% – E2 (Check/calibrate analytical balances)

The choice of weight class depends on the intended use and the level of accuracy required for a particular application. If you’re unsure, talk to our team who can advise you on the right class for your equipment.

If you’re sending a scale back to us for recalibration, it is ideal to use the original packaging. If this is not available choose a sturdy well-padded box to avoid shocks. Where possible, protect the load sensor by removing the weighing pan and any under-pan support and pack these separately in the box. You may be able to use the equipment’s locking pins or screws too.

Do ensure all the paperwork, including your contact details, is included to ensure we can return it once calibration is complete.
